Island Dining

You will eat well on peaceful Anna Maria Island because there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from!

From our vacation rental home, Google Maps says it’s 6 minutes to the Rod & Reel Pier at the top of the map, and it’s 6 minutes to the Old Hamburg German Restaurant at the bottom. That’s about as far as we usually go for dinner…by car, bike or trolley. (-:

Don’t get us wrong…there are dozens more restaurants a bit further south on the island, over the bridge to the mainland, on Longboat Key, and in Sarasota. But we’re pretty happy with the food and atmosphere within 6 minutes. And we bet you will be too. (-:

Also, the island has a terrific PUBLIX supermarket with fresh produce, an excellent bakery, great meats and fish…why cross that bridge if you don’t have to?
